ii) to provide a forum for discussion of common problems, and exchange of data and experience in various aspects of model development and implementation
iii) to facilitate communication with the GAINS modelling team at IIASA and encourage coordination in effective interaction with the CIAM
iv) to enhance development of integrated assessment modelling complementing the work of IIASA, and providing additional contributions to the work of the Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling
To achieve these aims information on the scope and findings of research activities in each participating country will be assembled, and interaction and communication established via a web-site and the internet. Meetings of those involved in national modelling will be arranged, and joint activities between different countries will be encouraged. The activities of the network and its members will be reported to and guided by the Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM). The Chairman of TFIAM will approve the allocation of responsibility for maintaining and managing the network.
